First Eagle's institutional relationship managers are senior product specialists who are available at our clients' request for meetings and conference calls. They are thoroughly versed in the investment approach, market outlook and portfolio positioning of the First Eagle strategies.
Doug serves as the head of the institutional sales team. Prior to joining First Eagle Investment Management in 2008, he was a managing director at Goldman Sachs Asset Management (GSAM), where he was head of product management for the firm’s global equity business, including global, international, Europe, UK, Japan, Asia ex-Japan, emerging markets, and China A-share equity investment strategies. Doug joined GSAM in 2000 as a member of the consultant relations team in New York, working with investment consultants in the eastern United States and in Canada. Prior to GSAM, Doug was a partner at Lotsoff Capital Management in Chicago, where he marketed to and serviced plan sponsors and investment consultants in the United States and Canada. Doug earned a BA in English from Middlebury College and an MBA from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University.
Greg is a vice president for institutional sales covering Public Funds and Taft-Hartley plans nationally. He joined the team in 2008 with a decade of relevant industry experience. Most recently he was a vice president and institutional client service manager at Goldman Sachs Asset Management (GSAM), where he was responsible for serving public fund clients. Previously, as a senior associate at AllianceBernstein, Greg worked as a daily client service contact and supported the public fund sales effort. Before that, he worked in mutual fund operations at TD Waterhouse. Greg earned a BS degree in marketing from the University of Scranton.
Kevin is a vice president for institutional sales at First Eagle Investment Management. He is responsible for developing and managing strategic relationships with investment consultants and endowment, foundation and corporate plans in the eastern U.S. and Canada. He joined First Eagle with 18 years of industry experience. Prior to joining the Firm in July 2011, Kevin was a Client Portfolio Manager on the Fundamental Equity portfolio management team at Goldman Sachs Asset Management (GSAM). He joined GSAM in 1999, representing the Fundamental Equity strategies to institutions, investment consultants, private wealth clients and third-party platforms globally. Previously, Kevin worked at Morgan Stanley as an Equity Research Associate where he analyzed the real estate and lodging industries. He earned a B.S. in finance from Boston College and received his MBA from San Diego State University. Kevin is a member of the New York Society of Security Analysts, and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.
Laura is a vice president for institutional sales at First Eagle Investment Management. She is responsible for developing and managing strategic relationships with investment consultants and endowment, foundation and corporate plans across the Midwest and West Coast. She brings the team more than 12 years of industry experience. Prior to joining the Firm in April 2009, Laura was a vice president of consultant relations at Goldman Sachs Asset Management (GSAM). Before joining the consultant relations team in August 2006, she managed relationships with clients as a member of GSAM’s U.S. institutional mid markets team beginning in 2005. Laura began her career in 1998 at Lord, Abbett & Co. where she held various positions, most recently as a director of Defined Contribution (DC) Services, offering Lord Abbett’s equity and fixed income products to DC plans, retirement platform providers and various investment consultants. Laura earned a B.S. in Marketing from Villanova University.
Andrea is a senior vice president and the head of institutional client service for First Eagle’s institutional sales team. She joined the Firm in 2000, and spent years developing and managing a wide array of First Eagle’s institutional client relationships before stepping into her current role. She brings the team more than 18 years of relevant industry experience. Prior to joining First Eagle, Andrea was a vice president of marketing at Tucker Anthony. Her responsibilities ranged from providing training to the sales force, to developing asset allocation models and investment plans, to performing market and mutual fund analysis. Andrea began her career at OppenheimerFunds, first as a sales assistant to the internal wholesaler force; then as a regional sales representative and team leader covering the New England states. Andrea received her B.A. in group and organizational communication from Duquesne University.
Jiro is a senior vice president on the Institutional Sales team responsible for working with institutional investors and investment consultants based in Japan. He also is co-portfolio manager of an Asian equity fund, conducting extensive fundamental research of Japanese companies and maintaining a network of relationships with executives of public companies in Japan. He came to First Eagle Investment Management in 1998 as a member of the product development team. Previously, he was an equity sales trader covering Japanese and U.S. accounts at Daiwa Securities America. Jiro holds a BA in economics with a specialty in econometrics from Keio University. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.
Kieran joined First Eagle in 2010 as a sales associate for the institutional sales team. He is primarily responsible for helping the team develop and manage strategic relationships with public pension funds and Taft Hartley plans nationally and investment consultants, endowment, foundation and corporate plans across the Midwest and West Coast. He also oversees many of the portfolio analytics that support the sales and investment teams. Kieran received a B.A. in Economics and English from Williams College.
Michelle is a sales associate for the institutional sales team who joined First Eagle in 2008. She is responsible for helping the team develop and manage strategic relationships with investment consultants and pension plans globally. Michelle earned a B.A. in English from Middlebury College.
Karin is an assistant vice president for First Eagle’s institutional sales team. She has been with the team since May 2006. Prior to joining First Eagle Investment Management, Karin was a Senior Manager at Capital One Financial, where she spent seven years. At Capital One, she held a variety of roles in different areas of the organization, including investor relations, corporate communications and operations management. Karin has a BS from the Calloway School of Business and Accountancy at Wake Forest University.
